Kingsland Point Park Photo Gallery
Sleepy Hollow, New York

Kingsland Point Park in Sleepy Hollow, New York, is an ideal place to enjoy a day on the Hudson River. The park offers incredible views, ball fields, a fenced in Dog-Run, and more.

Scenery at Kingsland Point Park

Kingsland Point Park's unique geography along the Hudson River affords some astounding views!

From the parks rugged shores, take in sights of the the Palisades, Tappan Zee Bridge,  the Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse, and the Hudson Highlands further north.

Hook Mountain, in upper Nyack, can be seen across the this three-mile stretch of the Hudson River.

Hook Mountain is one of the northern-most strands of the Palisades; the same cliffs that backdrop the George Washington Bridge in New York City.

The views from Kingsland Point Park extend many miles north of Hook Mountain though; and on clear days you can see the white-knuckled cliffs of the Hudson Highlands.

At Kingsland Point Park you can get up-close to the Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse. There offers a great spot to watch progress on the new Tappan Zee Bridge.

And in good conditions you can see clear down to the skyscrapers of Manhattan!

Kathryn W. Davis RiverWalk Center

The Kathryn W. Davis RiverWalk Center, a Spanish Renaissance style bath house, sits at the north entrance to the park.

Mrs. Davis, a Tarrytown resident and local benefactor, was 104 years old when she donated $4 million to Scenic Hudson to restore the bath house to its original beauty.

Here you can access the kayak launch (call first: ..).

The Trees at Kingsland Point Park!

At Kingsland Point Part you'll see many beautiful, old-growth Locust trees, Oaks, Maples, and a whole bunch of others I don't know the names of. :)

Secluded Spots

What I really like about Kingsland Point Park is the privacy it affords.

One such quiet place is on the rivers edge, down the slope, adjacent to the entrance booth.

Just walk down to the water and be careful on the rocks!

The Pavilion at Kingsland Point Park

There are 2 picnic areas, a pavilion, and the gazebo which you can reserve to host an event

They all make excellent locations and can accommodate large groups.

A permit is required to reserve one of the areas for use. For more information call: 914-366-5109

Kingsland Point Park should be a top consideration if you're in the Sleepy Hollow NY area and want to enjoy a day on the water!

You can usually have the place to yourself if you go on a weekday, giving you an intimate experience with the river.
